The Whole Wine World

Just connected with a vineyard in Thailand... hello.... Yesterday I had a great series of conversation with a woman in Israel... The day before last it was Quebec. Forgive me, but I am blown away by the diverse amount of efforts in the wine world and the unsuspected locations of quality wine works.

The Corkscrew Diary, our global travelogue, has been seeking unique destinations and strategic partners to share the story of global wine - I am humbled each and every day by the community of wine and unique spirit that enlivens the efforts.

One other note of frustration is the litigious nature of governments and their "protections" that appear over and over in the path from vine to consumer. I suppose all is necessary, but the learning curve from my end has been staggering. Some of the favorite experiences we have encountered in our travels are left to images and memory, as we are unable to secure the proper authority to enjoy these unique wines in out home state. This last little rant is a bit disjunct from my original hello, but... geeze!
